Introduction to Ordering
When you order a dress the dress is not made straight away, you are actually booking a time slot nearer to your wedding for your dress to be made in. You do not need to make the full payment or provide measurements until the dress is started. Usually I aim to start making your dress about 2 months before your wedding.
Obviously if you are ordering and your wedding is only 2 months away then the dress will be made straight away.
The space you are allocated will depend on how fully booked I am. If you order early you will have the best chance of getting the optimum slot of about 2 months before the wedding. This is as close as possible to the date without leaving it too late and therefore is best for getting the best fit to the size you are on your wedding day, as a lot of brides are dieting.
If you are ordering late and most of the slots are taken then it will have to be made in any available slot which may be more than 2 months before the wedding.
Choosing your Dress
You will find all the main styles on the gowns page of our website. Click on the picture to see more details on the each dress.
It is also well worth looking at the Real Brides section to give you inspiration for your dress, as every dress is different and some have had adapted styles or completely bespoke designs which you may like. A lot of these pictures are also put at the bottom of each gown page to show you what other people have had.
You can use the main styles and the Real Brides pictures to decide exactly how you want your dress, and then just let me know what you want! If you need to make reference in your order to something a Real Bride has had then just use her name.
You can of course also have your dress exactly the same as any of those pictured on the Gowns page or the Real Brides page in your choice of colour, or if there are some customizations you would like to make the dress perfect for you then please let me know. Some things are easy to change like train length or sleeve length etc. and in some cases the neckline shape and in all cases the height of the neckline can be altered.
If you need any help or advice with your choice then please let me know.
When To Order
It is usually best to place the order for your dress as soon as possible, I take orders up to 3 years in advance if you are really organized! But generally 1 year to 6 months is the recommended time to book as I get booked up about a year in advance.
You can also place an order if your wedding is sooner than 6 months, and if I have a slot free or cancellation I may be able to fit it in, so please ask anyway!
The absolute latest time I can make a dress for your wedding date is 2 months before, and it is unlikely I will have the availability to at short notice. Again, there is no harm in asking :o)
Booking Slots.
When you place an order you are not ordering for your dress to be made straight away, unless your wedding is very close. What you will be doing by placing an order is Booking a space nearer to your wedding date for your dress to be made. It is these slots that get booked up quite far in advance and this is why you need to book early to make sure there is a space to make your dress and that is it the optimum time from your wedding date (I usually aim for 2 months before the wedding to start your dress).
When you place your order you will be given a booking date of a month and this is the Month I will begin making your dress.
How to Order & Payment Methods.
To order a dress please fill in the order form as fully as possible. I will then get back to you to let you know that I have the order and if I have the availability to make your dress.
Customers in the UK will then be sent a 2 paper copies of the order & contract, one which they will need to sign and return and the other to keep.
If you are paying by cheque you can send this back with the order form or if you are paying by card then when the signed form is received I will send a Paypal invoice for the deposit to the email address you have provided. We also accept bank transfers. The information you need to do this will be included in the contract, along with the full terms and conditions of ordering.
International customers will be emailed a copy of the order to check through and let me know if anything is not down correctly. You will need to print and keep a copy of this. A link to pay the deposit via paypal will also be sent at this time, or you can pay the deposit via International Bank Transfer. The information you need to do this will be on the order we email you along with the full terms and conditions of ordering.
Samples
When the contract is returned/checked and the deposit is paid I will send you samples of the fabrics to be used for your dress or a selection if you are choosing from a few colours.

Final Payments
The full and final payment is due and the beginning or the month in which you dress is booked to be made, before the work is started.
Measurements
We will only need your measurements just before we begin making your dress, not before.
International customers can take your measurements using a guide we will give you and email them to us.
You can come to the studio to have your measurements taken or you can take your own measurements using a measurement guide provided and email them to me.
Making
The dress will be made to your measurements and specifications and in the fabrics and colours you have chosen. In some cases, where I feel necessary or if specifically requested I may make a toile mock up of the dress first, to check the style and fit.
You DO NOT have to come to fittings as if you are far away then this may not be possible for you and the dress will just be made to your measurements and posted to you.
If you are attending fittings then you can attend just one or 2 and pick up the dress when it is finished.
